Roskowski Conservation Easement

Type of Transaction: Conservation and Trail Easement

Date of Acquisition: December 19, 1998
Acres: 4.76

About the easement:

Nearby neighbors of the first TLT easement, the Smith conservation project, the Hoskin family was inspired by the preservation-mindedness of the Smiths and sought to sell their adjoining lot to the Land Trust, a project of great value for the TLT Board to help interconnect trails throughout the township for the benefit of equestrians and walkers.

The Roskowski family later purchased this property and, in 2015, reengineered the lot lines for their home lot, so that the conservation easement now lies entirely within the initial preserved parcel.

This easement includes both a conservation easement for the preservation of the 3-acre lot adjoining Smith and an access easement on 1.8 acres across the Roskowski home lot in order to link the trail from the town’s largest public park, Christie Hoffman Farm Park, via Tiger Drive which links to the TLT Christmas Tree Farm Preserve.
