Dinner Pot Trail Easement
Type of Transaction: Easement
Date of Acquisition: February 8, 2016
Acres: 15.42
About the easement:
The Dinner Pot and Chesson Easements held by the TLT consist of one 13-acre lot and a trail easement that crosses private property. The properties are owned by several Dinner Pot Road homeowners. The easement is a key link in the long-term Ten Mile Trail system.
This section of the trail starts from the Township’s Hell Mountain Preserve where it crosses through mature forest and over a Class 1 stream. The trail then emerges onto Dinner Pot Road, a private dirt lane, where residents have granted a 6-foot wide pathway along a segment of the road. The long-term intent is to connect this trail with those existing on the eastern side of County Route 517, thus completing the Ten Mile Trail.
